Tax Deadlines Extended to July 15

The IRS announced on April 9, 2020 any taxpayer with a filing or payment deadline falling on or after April 1, 2020 and before July 15, 2020 would have until July 15, 2020 to meet those deadlines.  This is an automatic extension that applies to all individual, trust, estates, corporations, and other noncorpoate tax filers.  Penalties and interest will not be calculated during this time period. 

The following have all been automatically extended until July 15, 2020.

Estimated Taxes

  • 1st quarter payments due 4/15
  • 2nd quarter payments due 6/15


  • Individual income tax Form 1040 and tax payments
  • Calendar year or fiscal year end corporate Form 1120 and tax payments
  • Estate and trust income tax payments and return filings on Form 1041
  • Estate and generation-skipping transfer tax payments and return filings on Form 706
